Review Policy

My reading tastes are fairly eclectic, and as a general rule it’s difficult for me to specify what I will/won’t read at any given time. It really does depend on my mood!

My preferred genres are:

Young Adult, particularly contemporary YA
New Adult
Contemporary Adult Fiction
Romance
Non-fiction, mostly biographies and autobigraphies

I’m less likely to read the following types of books:

Dystopian
Paranormal
Fantasy
Horror
Science Fiction

I will consider each request, and I reserve the right to refuse the request if the book is of no interest to me. I make no promise to guarantee a positive review, or to guarantee a review at all. All my reviews are and will be honest, and if a review is of a negative nature it will never be personal to the author, only to my subjective experience of reading their book. I do not receive or accept monetary compensation in exchange for a review.

I will accept books in print and ebook formats, and print is my preferred option of the two. Regarding ebooks, my preferred formats are ePub, PDFs and .mobi. Reviews will also be posted on Goodreads and Amazon, and promoted across social media, particularly on my Twitter and Facebook accounts.

I am not currently accepting unsolicited requests from Independent Book Publishers and Self Published Authors. I am willing to participate in blog tours and giveaways, and also to host author interviews and other guest posts.

Review Requests:

If you would like me to read your book in exchange for an honest review, please email me at bumblingbookworm@gmail.com with the following information:

Title of the book
Synopsis or blurb
Genre
Any links to your book, eg Goodreads, Amazon, etc
Author website or social media accounts
Preferred timeframe for completion of review

Whilst I cannot guarantee a particular timeframe if requested, it does help me to prioritise and consider whether I can accept the review request. Reviews of ARCs will be posted as close to the release date as possible, my workload permitting.

Contest/Privacy Policy

All entrants must be 13+ years old
Unless otherwise noted, all contests will be for Australian residents only
Winners will be notified via email promptly upon completion of the contest
Winners have 48 hours to respond to my email and provide a mailing address, or I will choose a new winner
I am not responsible for items being lost in the mail
All entrants must follw the giveaway instructions to be considered a valid entry
I reserve the right to disqualify or void any entry I feel isn’t valid

I do not collect or distribute personal information contributed to my blog. Please do not provide your mailing address unless you have been notified by email that you are a contest winner. I will only request a mailing address if you win and I will promptly delete these within two weeeks of sending the package.

You should only post information on my blog that you feel comfortable with other people seeing, as I cannot control who views this blog or what they may do with that information.
