Top Ten Tuesday is THE bookish meme, hosted by the wonderful ladies at The Broke and the Bookish, the book blog that hooked me on all other book blogs!  I’m a sucker for bookish memes, so here we go…

Today’s topic is Top Ten Authors I Really Want to Meet.  So, in no particular order here’s my list 🙂

Sarah J. Maas

I’ve jumped on board the Sarah J. Maas train and there’s no stopping me now, I’m addicted!  Hopefully this one will become a reality when she comes to Australia in November 🙂

Melina Marchetta

I’ve loved Melina Marchetta since I first read Looking for Alibrandi in the late ’90s and I’ve been wanting to meet her ever since… Here’s hoping it happens one day!

J.K. Rowling

If I need to explain this one then I really can’t help you!

Morgan Matson

She seems like such a fun person on Twitter and she writes these amazing characters, I’d love to find out more about where they come from.

Stephanie Perkins

I have to know who she loves most of all: Etienne, Cricket or Josh??  I gots to know!!

Gayle Forman

Another author who writes amazing character-driven novels, any insight into that would be amazing.

Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow Rowell writes characters that speak to my soul, I don’t think I’ll be content until I can meet her and thank her for being so awesome!

Louisa May Alcott

So I know that there’s no chance of me meeting her, but I couldn’t leave the author of one of my favourite classics of the list!

L.M. Montgomery

Anne Shirley was such a huge part of my childhood, I’d have loved to have met the author that brought her to life.

Jane Austen

Last but not least, another author I’ll never be able to meet but as the author of so many of my favourite classics, there was no way I wasn’t including her here.

There you have it, that’s my list!  How about you, what did you have on your list?

  1. I don’t know who Stephanie Perkins loves the most, but when I told her Cricket was my favorite, she was very happy. She says not that many people choose him and she loves him. 🙂

Of course JK Rowling was on my list too. How could she not be?! I had Rainbow Rowell as well. I’ve only read Landline (so far…) but I loved it. The characters were fantastic. Looking forward to reading more from her.

Sarah J Maas was so close to being on my list- she favourited a tweet of mine the other day and I nearly burst 🙂 I’ve just finished A Court of Thorns and Roses and its was SO good! 😀 Rowling would be a dream to meet too :’) Here’s my TTT if you would like to check it out 🙂 Have a great day!

  5. I totally forgot Rowling, but I agree with some of your others as well.

Oh Lord, LM Montgomery!!! 😀 Those books defined my childhood. And are probably responsible for me becoming a professional storyteller 🙂 Thank you for reminding me! 🙂

SO excited that Sarah J Maas is coming to Australia! Seriously just counting down the days!
I’ve actually met Melina Marchetta before, but that was before I’d read any of her books (she came to our school), and I honestly had no idea who she was hahah. How young and naive I was XD

Hi! I'm Bernadette, a 27 year old lawyer who loves to read (duh!), especially to escape my day job. I love to talk about books but I don't always get the opportunity to do so, hence my blog! I adore YA literature, most genres of Adult Fiction, and I've also been known to pick up a non-fiction book from time to time. I hope you enjoy your visit!
